James Edward Glancey, III

James Edward Glancey, III entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 72.   Beloved husband of the late Joann Shields Glancey. Son of the late James Edward Glancey, Jr. and Betty C. Glancey.   Father of Danielle Glancey Guffee, Tara Glancey and James Glancey, IV.  Grandfather of Shane Ruggles, Jr., Emily Guffee and Noah Guffee.  Great Grandfather of Kali Joann Yaeger.  Brother of Robyn Glancey Edwards (Steve).  James was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi. He graduated from Holy Cross High School and he retired from New Orleans Municipal Court where he worked for many years.  He was an avid hunter and he loved fishing and any activity outdoors.  

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM.  Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
