James Dudley Hebert Sr.

January 21, 1927 — August 10, 2012

James Dudley “Big Jim” Hebert, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the age of 85. Beloved husband the late Rena Louise Toups Hebert. Son of the late Albert Murphy Hebert and Margaret Elea LeBlanc Hebert. Father of James D. Hebert, Jr., Linda H. Guess, Sharlene H. DiVincenti, Ronnie D. Hebert and the late Timothy Hebert. Survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Brother of Murphy Hebert, Roland Hebert, Dale Hebert Monroe and the late Oliver “Bonny” Hebert, and Audrey Dene Hebert Cannon. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. James was born in Perry, LA and was a resident of Harvey, LA for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of WWII while serving in the United States Navy. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. James worked in the oilfield industry for over 50 years until his retirement. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 9AM until 12:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Eton Street, Algiers, LA on Tuesday at 1PM. Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
