James “JJ” Breaux, born May 22, 1934 entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the age of 90. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lena C. Breaux; his children, James, Jr. and Rodney Breaux; his parents, Aggie and Jack Breaux and a grandson, Caleb Bergeron. He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Bergeron (Percy); his son, Ricky Breaux (Rachel); his grandchildren, Danielle Badeaux (Grover), Sarah Bergeron, Cody Breaux, Brandon Breaux and Lauren Breaux; his great grandchildren, Brady Badeaux, Aubrie Bergeron, Brock Badeaux and Grayson Bergeron, Baileigh Breaux as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He worked for American Cyanamid/CYTEC where they named a street after him. He was a member of the Civil Service Board for St. Charles Parish, United Way, Local 4-447 where he was the Union President and he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ama, Louisiana. He was also a member of the Thibodaux Labor Council representing unions in Louisiana and he was also a retired Veteran. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Army. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Ama, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 8:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Mausoleum, Paul Maillard Road, Luling, Louisiana.
