James Taylor Leonard Jr

October 30, 1927 — November 24, 2012

James Taylor Leonard, Jr. passed away on November 24, 2012 at the age of 85 years. He was a longtime resident of Galliano, LA and Grand Isle, LA. Beloved husband of the late Pauline Leonard and longtime companion of the late Betty Rawley. Father of Dianne Talbot (Jerry), Cora Desselle (Rene), James Leonard, III, Susan Madson (Mark), Jody Leonard (Laura) and the late David Leonard. He is survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jerry Latapie, Jr. and Christopher Latapie and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Woods. Brother of Carris and Rudolph Leonard, the late Rosalee Leonard and Kate Rodgers. Son of the late James and Mattie Leonard, Sr.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was stationed aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
