James Roy Oldham

James "Jimmy" Roy Oldham, 69, of Marrero, LA, passed away on July 24, 2023. Born on October 1, 1953, in New Orleans, LA, Jimmy was a beloved father, brother, and friend.

 

Jimmy was a man who was set in his ways and had a firecracker attitude. He lived life on his own terms.  In his free time, Jimmy enjoyed hunting and spending time at the casino, where he found joy and excitement.

 

Professionally, Jimmy worked in a shipyard as a fitter and in the oil fields. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who took pride in his career. 

 

Jimmy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his surviving sisters, Debra Donathan and Mary Roberts, and his brother, Richard Oldham Sr. He is also survived by his daughters, Natalie Oldham Breaux and Aqueta Ann Helmer, and his sons, Jason Oldham, Michael Oldham, and James Roy Helmer and Twelve Grandchildren 

 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Billy Hunt Oldham Sr, his mother, Mildred Rita Lawson Oldham, his brother, Billy Hunt Oldham Jr, and his daughter, Emily Allemend. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved them.

 

A future date has been set for Jimmy's memorial services. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Details regarding the services will be announced at a later time.
