James A. Simoneaux, Sr.

James A. Simoneaux, Sr. born on September 24, 1927 died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Marrero, LA due to a long illness of COPD. He was the son of the late Similien C. Simoneaux and Claire M. Coupel Simoneaux. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lou Anna Landry Simoneaux; his daughters, Carla A. Miller (Max), Bonnie T. Labat (Jerome) and his son, James A. Simoneaux, Jr. (Therese). James is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Max Miller Jr., Paul Miller, Peter Miller, Matthew Miller, Sean Labat, Chris Labat and Michelle Simoneaux as well as his 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Leonard, Victor and Sidney Simoneaux. James was stationed in Alaska for 2 years while enlisted in the United States Army. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 9:30AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
