Dr. James C. Strickland, Jr., a retired veterinarian, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Beloved husband of Merlin Garcia Strickland. Father of James C. Strickland, III, Susan Grace Strickland, and Carole S. Nungesser (Eric). Grandfather of Dr. Jessica S. Zimmerman, Jimmy Strickland, Matthew, Brett, and Grace Nungesser. Great-grandfather of Rhys Strickland, Abby and Kate Zimmerman. Son of the late Artie and Brooks Garrett, James, Sr. and Atlee Crane Strickland. Age 84 years, a native of Tuscaloosa, AL and resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also employees of Hose Specialty Supply, are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 AM.
