James L. "Jimmy" Sanchez

James L. “Jimmy” Sanchez passed away on July 19, 2012 at 61 years of age. Husband of Tammy Sanchez by second marriage and of the late Marlene Trathen Sanchez by first marriage. Father of Darlene Sanchez and Christy Cantrelle (husband Troy). Grandfather of Kassie Marie Vicknair, Jerry Vicknair, Jr., Devin Sanchez, Gage and Laci Cantrelle. Great-grandfather of Lexi Blackley, Gia Gambino and Kaylie Vicknair. Brother of Henry, Joseph and Gerrit “Jerry” Sanchez, Carol Smith, the late Joyce Steadman and Margie Smith. Godfather of Carolyn Berger and Sharon Walton. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and his friends at “Floozie’s” and The Fleet Reserve Branch 162.
He served his country in the Louisiana National Guard assigned to the 159th Combat Support Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
