Jana “JP” Petrovich, MD entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the age of 46. Beloved and loving daughter of Kuzma and Sue Petrovich. Sister of Danica P. Ansardi (Husband, the late Ray), Mala P. Barrett and Kuzma Petrovich, Jr. (Wife Shantelle). Aunt of Sarah and Tray Ansardi, Luke Barrett, Mila, Kaden, Vedran Petrovich. After graduating from Delta Heritage Academy in Buras, LA, she received her Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees from Loyola University in New Orleans and LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. After completing her residency in Dallas, TX, and before her illness, she devoted her medical career to geriatric care. She held numerous leadership roles as a young adult and was extremely popular and admired by her friends and family. In 1984, she was crowned Plaquemines Parish Festival Orange Queen. She touched so many lives during her brief life and will be sadly missed by all. In her last years of her life, she dedicated most of her time and energy to spreading the message for the Priest for Life Organization which promotes pro-life and anti-abortion issues. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10AM until 1:30PM. The Rosary will be recited at 1PM. A Funeral Mass will follow the Rosary at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA.
