Jane Andry Soulant

Jane Andry Soulant, age 76, beloved and devoted wife of Kenneth Soulant for fifty-five years, passed away at home on July 2, 2011, after losing a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a native of Algiers in New Orleans, Louisiana and a long time resident of Mandeville. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Eugene Andry, her mother, Esther Guillot Andry, and her brother Ernest “Bucky” Andry Jr. She is survived by her four beloved children, Kathryn Soulant Crosby of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kenneth Soulant Jr., of Belle Chasse, Scott Soulant of Fairhope, Alabama and Susan Soulant Goudail of New Orleans, and by nine beloved grandchildren. She was a graduate of Martin Behrman High School and Southwestern Louisiana Institute, (University of Louisiana Lafayette) from which she graduated with honors. Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 724 Camp St., New Orleans on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 2:30 PM. Visitation will begin at the Church at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave. in Gretna, Louisiana.
