Janet Lagrange Gray

August 1, 1966 — September 27, 2015

Janet Marie LaGrange Gray, 49, was called home to Heaven on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from complications related to leukemia. She will be truly missed and remembered with love by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassidy Morgan Gray, her mother, Rosemary Lobdell Brown, father, Lloyd L. LaGrange and stepmother, Elaine B. LaGrange. She is also survived by her brother, Lloyd Michael LaGrange, sister-in-law, Cindy Brown, sister, Denise LaGrange Guerineau, brother-in-law, Joseph P. Guerineau III, nephew, Trey W. Bethea, and niece, Gabrielle E. Bethea.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Oliver and Odile LaGrange and Charles A. and Edna Lobdell, step grandmother Katherine Lobdell, and stepfather, Curtis E. Brown.
A native of Gretna, LA, Janet graduated with honors from Archbishop Blenk High School, Class of 1984, attended Tulane University, and graduated from Delgado Community College.
Known for her smile and love of volunteer work, Janet's church home was St. Martha Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the choir and festivities planning committee. She also served as a longtime member of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Company Support Association.
Janet was a dedicated part of the Jefferson Parish General Services Division, where she worked for over 32 years.
And, oh, how she loved to dance! Over 40 years of dedication to dance, Janet was a member of The Louisiana Association of Dance Masters -Dancers for Life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2555 Apollo Drive, Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10 AM. Visitation will be at church from 9 AM until 10 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery South, Gretna, LA. Mothe Funeral Home handling arrangements. A Remembrance Gathering will be held at St Martha's Hall after burial has concluded.
