Janet Lineman Schouest

anet Lineman Schouest went to her heavenly home on June 14,2023 at the age of 84 years old. Janet was born on January 7, 1939 in New Orleans. Janet was known for her multiple talents and hobbies by many in the community. She was a resident of Avondale, La and Waveland, Mississippi. Janet was more than an extraordinary woman; she was a daughter, loving mother, and an amazing grandmother. Janet always brightened up the room with her radiant smile and personality. As her son would describe his mother as loving, caring, sacrificing and a true angel on earth. Janet was a Jefferson Parish Police Officer, School Crossing Guard, and known for many other crafts of work. If something had to be done, then she was going to get it done one way or another. She is preceded in death by her mother, Emma L. Furey; father, Bernard M. Luneman; son, Stephen J. Schouest; brother-in-law, Anthony J. Marinovich, and niece, Rachel C. Marinovich. She leaves behind her loving husband of 67 years, Dudley Alfred Schouest; son, Dudley (Anne) Schouest JR; grandson, Stephen D. (Ashleigh) Schouest; daughter-in-law, Donna Richoux Schouest; granddaughter, Shae King and sister, Mena L. Marinovich.  She is also survived and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and many dear friends. Janet was well loved, and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard Marrero, La 70072, on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 1:00-4:00pm with a service to follow immediately after.
