Jean Parker Cunningham

Jean Agnes Parker Cunningham, age 86 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.  She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Cunningham, Jr. for 48 years. Mother of Lori, Lynn (Aaron Craig), Glen (Michael Mohrlang), and Lisa (Paul Triche), and mother-in-law of the late Ronnie Jackson. Grandmother of Camryn, Cooper, and Chloe. Sister of Sherwood Parker, the late Grace Williams and Leroy Parker.  Daughter of the late Agnes and Leroy Parker. Jean will be dearly missed by many friends, family, nieces, and nephews. A devout Catholic and graduate of Redemptorist High School, Jean grew up in the Irish Channel.  She worked for the USDA and later in the Orleans Parish School System for over 30 years in the offices of Edna Karr Junior High and Alice Harte Elementary. Jean was a resident of Algiers for the past 57 years. Relatives and friends of the family and members of Holy Spirit Church are invited to attend Saturday, April 27, 2024 visitation services from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
