Jean-Gilles Andre Waché entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2021. Beloved husband of Slafie Auch Waché for 50 years. Father of Teva Waché (Chelsea Waché). Grandfather of Teva Waché, Jr. Son of the late George Waché and Madeline Retty Waché. Brother of Liline Waché, Claude Waché, and the late Herve Waché. Age 76 years, a native of Bourges, France, and resident of Gretna, LA. Jean-Gilles was a internationally renowned Executive Pastry Chef having won numerous Gold Medals in the Culinary Olympics. He was truly a pioneer in sugar sculpting and admired by many. Against all odds, he bravely fought a brain tumor in 1994 and his strength in adversity was inspiring as he lived well beyond his expected years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. A memorial celebration will be held in the near future, dates and times will be posted when available.
