Jeanne Marie Richard Wright

Jeanne Marie Richard Wright, a lifelong resident of Gretna, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Wright, Sr. Daughter of the late Murdock Richard, Sr. and Jeanne Maurin Richard. Mother of Eugene Wright, Jr. (Jeannie). Grandmother of Bradley and Amy and great-grandmother of 4 great grandchildren. Beloved sister of Victor Richard, Sr. (Antoinette “Toni”) and the late Murdock Richard, Jr. (Marie), the late Burbank “Red” Richard (the late Marion) and the late George B. Richard, Sr. (the late Agnes). Jeanne is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a recipient of the St. Louis Medallion. She was a United States Marine Corps wife for 23 years and she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, Louisiana on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 10AM until 12PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
