Jeanne Mahe' Smith

Jeanne Mahe’ Smith, age 84 died Saturday, July 21, 2012. Jeanne was born in New Orleans; lived in Port Sulphur, LA and moved to Gretna, LA following her husband’s retirement. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Smith; her parents, Celia Lacassin and Albert R. Mahe’; a brother, John A. Mahe’ and sister, Martha Morgan. Jeanne is survived by two daughters, Linda Coorpender (Husband Bill), Edith Whittington (Husband Don): a son, Anthony L. Smith (Wife Dana); a brother, Lloyd A. Mahe’ and a sister-in-law, Beverly Mahe’. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her niece, Martha Ann Hanson for her loving concern and friendship over the past several years. Jeanne was an active member of VFW Post 6402, Ex-POW Auxiliary and National WWII Museum. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7AM until 9AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 9AM.
