Jeffrey Michael Evans

Jeffrey Michael Evans was born in New Orleans on December 28, 1958 to his loving parents, the late Janice Roberts Evans and Robert G. Evans. He was a life long resident of Gretna, Louisiana. Jeff passed away surrounded by his family on October 9, 2015. Although born with Down Syndrome, Jeff was endowed with a special gift of bringing joy and happiness to all who had contact with him, a smile that was infectious, and an attitude of love for all. He never met a stranger and those newly met were impressed by his loving nature. Jeffrey will be sorely missed by his surviving siblings, Jan, Robbie, and Ronnie, 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, 12 first cousins, and numerous other family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that thoughtful donations be made to Westbank ARC, 401 Gretna Blvd., Gretna, Louisiana 70053, the school that Jeffrey attended for many years.
Services will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana 70058, visitation commencing at 9:00 AM, followed by a mass at 11:00 AM, and burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna.
