Jennie Marciante Laborie

Jennie E. Marciante Laborie passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Joseph Laborie, Sr. Daughter of the late Joseph Marciante and Josephine Marciante. Mother of Mary “Patsy” L. Covell (Bernard), Theresa L. Landry Ruth (John Ruth) (the late Rickey Landry) and Andrew J. Laborie, Jr. (JoAnn). Grandmother of Greta Gloven (Mike), Eric Covell (Becky), Rickey J. Landry, Jr. and Brigid Laborie. Great Grandmother of Mary Gloven, Michael Gloven, Benjamin Covell, Logan Covell, Eric Covell, Jr., Rylee Covell. Great Great Grandmother of Everett Covell. Step grandmother of Devin Ruth (Vicky), Dale Koenig, Jr., and T.J. Koenig (Michelle). Step Great Grandmother of Priscilla Halloran, Richelle Terrase and Dale Koenig,III, Christian Koenig and Shyanne Koenig. Step Great Great Grandmother of Loretta Ruggles. Sister of Rita M. Hull and the late Congetta M. Wright, Salvadore Marciante, Joseph Marciante, Frank Marciante, and Anthony Marciante. Jennie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the past and present staff of Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center for their love and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center Special Care Unit. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center, 5600 General DeGaulle Drive, Algiers, LA on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
