Jennifer Lynn Thibodeaux left us on the evening of Sunday, January 10th, arguably far, far too soon. She is survived by her mother, Donna Fugate Thibodeaux, (Step Father Kai Chin) father, Ernest Thibodeaux ( Step mother Maria) , brother “Bubby” Michael Thibodeaux, half-sisters, MaryGrace and Isabella Thibodeaux, close siblings Rochelle Nail, Heather Fugate, Christopher Lee, as well as nephews Colin Thibodeaux and Freddie McMillan. She is also survived by close family including aunts, uncles and cousins. It was no secret Jennifer was a passionate person. Pure, raw emotion was her everyday forte’. She never held an opinion to herself, nor did she ever fail to let you know her current emotional status. This, unfortunately, was her biggest strength and her greatest weakness. If you were to ask Jennifer looking back upon her life if she would do anything differently, I guarantee she wouldn’t hesitate to say “no”, for she had no regrets. However, the saddest part of it all is if you were to ask her what she would do going forward, the aspirations, and standards to which she held herself to so highly will now never be obtained. There was a recent conversation I had that involved how one could judge their impact on the world. We cannot all re-write history, lead our nation or become legends to be discussed for centuries to come. Some of us simply impact those who surround us in such a unique way that their very existence is forever altered. Jennifer lived a life that was well beyond what many would consider the accepted expectations, always steps ahead, always living for the present. Like her, how many of us can truly say that we took every forthcoming moment and made the most of it? I never knew her to be an artistic person, however as I reflect I come to realize she was probably the most successful artist I ever knew. Her presence was artistry at work, things she did, those she associated with, influenced, all became part of her grand masterpiece. Jennifer left a lasting impression so deep, so thought provoking, that no matter your opinion, she was engrained. With that being said, I implore you to seek the definition of “legendary”. Heaven better be ready for a lot more pink. Family and friends are invited the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 4PM until 7PM.
