Jeremy James DeBlieux passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, in Gretna, Louisiana, at the age of 67.
Jeremy was born on January 25, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He spent most of his life in the hospitality industry, from managing nightclubs to building restaurants. Jeremy saw himself as a mentor to the those with whom he worked. He was also highly involved in civic organizations such as the French Quarter Business Association, the French Quarter Management District and the Oyster Festival Board.
Jeremy was a graduate of the University of New Orleans, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration.
Jeremy was a loving husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He was a kid at heart who loved to make people smile and bring joy anywhere he could. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and always "had a guy" that knew what to do. Jeremy felt his purpose in life was to be a great dad.
Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Connie Callais DeBlieux; Daughter, Jackie DeBlieux; Sons, Turner DeBlieux (Partner Quintin), Casey Boudoin, Seth Boudoin (Wife Ann-Elise); Sisters, Nicky Steel (Husband Donald), Boo Bordes (Husband Barry), Laura Pick (Husband Barry-Deceased); Brothers, Pip DeBlieux (Wife Kristi), Deek DeBlieux (Wife Leisa), Peter DeBlieux (Wife Karen); and many nieces and nephews.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris DeBlieux II; His stepmother, Margeret Frazer DeBlieux; and his brother Charles "Chuck" Edward DeBlieux III.
Jeremy lost his battle with cancer, but help him win the war. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeremy's celebration of life at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, Louisiana on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Following, there will be a burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana. This is a celebration, so please don't wear dark suits. The family has requested you wear your favorite Jazz Fest, Saints, LSU Tigers, or Chicago Cubs apparel.
