Jerry Lee Arb, age 65, a resident of Belle Chasse and St. Amant, LA, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Beloved husband of Sylvia Mayfield Arb. Loving Father of Garrett Arb, Laura DeSalvo (husband Roy) and Lacey Arb. Also survived by six precious grandchildren: Brooke and Landyn Arb, Madison, Shelby and Ava DeSalvo and Juliana’ Guajardo, who will miss their beloved Grumps. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially loved by his nephews’ Jacob Cook and Kawlin Firth. Son of the late Clarence W. and Lois V. Arb. Son in law of L. Jane Mayfield and the late V. Wayne Arb. Brother of Kay Arb Firth and Larry R. Arb and the late Barbara Arb Wood and Gary Wayne Arb. Jerry was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country in Vietnam. He was your typical Vietnam vet – a loving family man who worked hard at his profession and in his community. Jerry was happiest when he was with his family and friends laughing and enjoying life. He loved fishing and being on his boat with family and friends. Mr. Arb was a Conoco Phillips retiree after 40 years of service. Employees of Conoco Phillips Alliance Refinery, friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of his life at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 3 PM. Visitation will be from 2 PM until 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Center for Melanoma Research, PO Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486.
