Jerry Joseph Elliott passed away on October 20, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Shelby Jeanne Turner Elliott. Father of Jesse Joseph Elliott (Ada) and Jill Elliott Torre (Scott). Grandfather of Joshua Elliott Torre, Eliyahu Joseph Torre, Judah Scott Torre, Elizabeth Yiriel Torre and Evan Joseph Elliott. Son of the late Charles and Edith Martinez Elliott. Brother of Ruby Elliott Bourgeois, the late Stanley, Gary and Atlas “Pete” Elliott. Brother-in-law of Rita Turner Jemison, Joyce Turner Yager, Sandra Turner Appel, Linda Turner Guillot, Joan Turner, Hugh Edward Houston, Raymond Jemison, William “Bill” Yager, Frank Appel, Richard Guillot, J.R. “Pat” Turner and the late Wanda Turner Houston. Also survived by many loving family members and friends.
He was a member of Infant Jesus of Prague Golden Age Club, St. Cletus Knights of Columbus Council No. 8615, The Very Rev. T. J. Larkin Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and St. Cletus Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at St. Cletus Catholic Church 3600 Claire Avenue in Gretna on Thursday, October 23, 2014 for 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Thursday from 8 AM to 10:30 AM.
