Jerry Wayne Faulkner

Jerry Wayne Faulkner passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved father of Jennifer Bembry (wife of Eric Bembry), Wesley Faulkner (husband of Brandi Faulkner), Cord Faulkner, Matthew Faulkner and the late Monique Faulkner. Grandfather of Adrianna, Devin and Brooks Bembry, Shaney Creppel and Julian Faulkner. Son of the late Ester Ensminger Caron and Cannon(Buddy) Faulkner. Brother of the late Ronnie Faulkner.
He was raised in Lake Hermitage where he attended Belle Chasse High School and was an avid athlete playing football, baseball, basketball, and track. Jerry attended South Eastern and Loyola University before starting his long and dedicated career in law enforcement. He served as an officer of the New Orleans Police Department, and retired at the rank of captain from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office after a total of 45 years of service.
Jerry was the happiest when he was fishing or hunting in his longtime place of residence in Barataria, LA where he lived his happiest years. He was also a sports fanatic his favorites being the Saints and LSU.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058 on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 1:30 pm.
