Jerry Norman Katicich, retired from Jefferson Parish Schools, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Josephine W. Buras Katicich. Father of Marilyn K. Giroir (Freddie), Edna J. Jacobsen (Johnie), Sandra K. Bennett (Albert), Darlene K. Chopin (Okie), Michael J. Katicich (Mary), Norman Katicich (Sherri), James D. Katicich, John R. Katicich (Ella) and the late Victor J. Katicich. Step-father of JoAnn Stross (Bill), Melanie White (Jack) and Darby Russo (Lawrence). Son of the late John Emile Katicich and Ophelia LeBlanc Katicich. Brother of the late Joseph W. and John Katicich. Survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by a grandchild. A native of Jefferson, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 83 years. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also City of Gretna, Gretna Police Department are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 AM until 1 PM.
