Jim P. “Jimmy” Wood entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Esther Flora Toy Wood. Son of the late Haughton O’Neal Wood, Sr. and Christine Seabaugh Wood. Father of Jo Ann Wood McMichael (Husband Robert), Catherine “Kay” Wood (Partner Cheryl Brewer) and Debra Wood (Husband Artie Breslin). Grandfather of Bobby, Brian, Kellie, Rene’ and Melvin “Tee Glenn”. Great grandfather of Jodie, Lennon, William, Zachary, Brooke, Hayleigh and Macy. Brother of Billy Wood and the late Haughton O’Neal “Beau” Wood, Jr. and Louise Conlin. Jim was Past President of Wally Byam Caravan Club International and a 40 year employee of Chevron Chemical Company. He was born in Alden Bridge, LA and was a resident of Belle Chasse, LA for the past 59 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, August 17, 2012 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
