Jimmie J. Dufrene, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of the late JoAnn Rita Dugas Dufrene. Father of Jimmie J. Dufrene, Jr. (late Germaine), Jason J. Dufrene (Michelle), and Jaime Lynn Dufrene. Son of the late Odile Cambre Dufrene and Joseph Dufrene. Brother of Joseph Dufrene, Jr. (Brenda and former wife, Beverly) and Perry Dufrene. Also survived by 1 grandchild, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 54 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the Marrero and Harvey Senior Citizens Centers are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11am. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6pm until 10pm and on Tuesday morning from 8am until 11am. Thanks to Heart of Hospice for their loving care.
