Joan Hasenkampf Voisin

Joan Hasenkampf Voisin, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023. Loving spouse of the late Paul Voisin of 44 years. Mother of David Voisin (Susan), Ruth Voisin, Lisa Carroll (Daniel) and Christine Russell (Benny). Grandmother of William Carroll (Daniela), Timothy Carroll (Samantha), Stephen Whitmire, Madeleine Voisin, Benjamin Herrle (Erin), James Whitmire, Andrew Carroll (Aubrey), Elena Voisin, Anna Russell, and Amelia Russell. Great-grandmother of Emily Venancio Carroll, Julian Venancio Carroll, and Sydney Carroll. Joan was born on October 2, 1941 to the late William B. Hasenkampf, Jr. and the late Anna F. Hasenkampf. Sister of William Hasenkampf III (Carol), Linda Hasenkampf, Alan Hasenkampf (Marie), and the late Ruth H. Durand. Joan was a former employee of South Central Bell and a homemaker. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of St. Cletus and Christ the King Parishes. She loved spending time in her garden, but more than anything else, she loved being right in the middle of her family and enjoying the large gatherings. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Second Harvest Food Bank or Catholic charities would be appreciated. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 9AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
