John Curtis Abadie, Sr.

January 20, 1973 — May 17, 2024

John Curtis Abadie Sr. passed away peacefully on May 17 at the age of 51 years. Beloved husband of the late Amy Grace Smith Abadie. Loving father of John Curtis Abadie Jr. Son of Cheryl Bourgeois Abadie and the late Curtis Anthony Abadie. Brother of Shelley Winters (Russell), Troy Anthony Abadie (Pamela), James M. Abadie (Dana), Stephanie McLean (David), and Peter J. Abadie (Alex). Uncle of Whitney Abadie, Lacie Abadie, Jade Abadie Martin, Kassie Abadie, Sophia McLean, Shiloh McLean, Greyson Abadie, and Rhys Abadie. Also survived by his best friend and cousin, Phillip Schouest along with many loving great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
John grew up on the Westbank and graduated from L.W. Higgins High School. He worked for Omni Bank and Signature Livery New Orleans. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will take place at Hosanna Church, 2215 Barataria Boulevard (near Cousins Blvd.), Marrero, LA on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Services will follow.
