John Jerry Blanchard

John Jerry Blanchard, age 72 entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Beloved husband of Donna Schieffler Blanchard. The most wonderful father to Tharon “Tee” Blanchard, Tynia Blanchard and Tina Blanchard. The Best father-in-law to Dina Blanchard. The pride and joy of his life was being the greatest paw-paw to Tharon “TJ” Blanchard, Jr. and Addison “Al” Blanchard; his God given girls, Briana and Lisa Tastet. He is also survived by his brothers, John Wayne Blanchard (Wife Madeline), Barney Blanchard (Wife Susan); his special friend and brother-in-law, Danny Schieffler (Wife Darilyn); his longtime best friends, Tommy D’Aquin and Doug LeBouef. He will be missed by all his close friends, neighbors at the camp in Lake Hermitage and his family at Blanchard’s Auto as well as the many friends and family he loved so much. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonia Morgan and John E. “Kop Kop” Blanchard; his precious sister, Charlotte Blanchard and brother Raleigh Blanchard. Family, friends, patrons and employees of Blanchard’s Auto are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 9AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
