1964-2016
The world is less interesting today. Not that you would know. Unless you were one of the people fortunate enough to know John P. Bush. Ok, so his middle initial wasn't really 'P', but to his friends it was. And so was his friends' middle initial to him. And such was life with John. Unexpected, or at least, unusual. John outlived his parents Don and Trudie Bush, so aside from his remaining real family, the Piatts, Richard, Malou & Carol(Rice), he wasn't really family to most who knew him, but to those who truly knew him, he was. You might say he was a renaissance man, but if you knew him, you'd know he hated that term. So you probably wouldn't. He hated the word fashion, too, though his explanation why, never really made sense. We never told him that, because he was family. He was also an Architect, Designer, furniture maker and man of all around good taste. With an awesomely odd sense of humor. He was quiet. Private. And always around on Holidays and weekends. He didn't have any children or siblings, yet he was Uncle John to easily a dozen kids of varying ages. And dogs. Wow, he loved the dogs. Even the meanest of them(Clyde). Every kid and dog will miss him(Except for Clyde - Clyde is giving John the tongue-of-joy as you read this). There are also scores of adults who will miss John David Bush's bellowing laughter, his dry wit and his constant speculation about whether you were watching Masterpiece Theater with your spouse when he called. Because of that, the world is less interesting today. And if you were one of the lucky ones, you know that too.
