John Joseph Cressy

John Joseph Cressy passed away on September 26, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Beloved father of Sean M. Cressy and his wife Stacey. Proud grandfather of Abigail, Ian and Ethan Cressy. Son of the late Irene Defau Johnston and Robert Johnston. Brother of Melody Young. Loving uncle of Joshua and William Weaver and uncle and Godfather to Brittany Akin. He is preceded in death by Bill Johnston and Jimmy Cressy and survived by many family members and friends.
Cressy was a commercial diver and welder for many years and worked for Schlumberger, Superior, Dresser Atlas and most recently for Ultra Wireline where he used his skills with well capping. He was a hard-working man who loved his family and friends and will be sadly missed.

A Memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Aloha Shores Lounge, 1224 Fried Street, Gretna, LA 70053.
