John "Red Pop" Desalvo, Sr.

John N. “Red Pop” DeSalvo, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of 50 years to Gail G. DeSalvo. Son of Louise Zopfi DeSalvo and the late Cosmo DeSalvo. Loving father of John N. DeSalvo, Jr. (Wife Lisa), Kevin J. DeSalvo (Wife, the late Debbie) and Tammy D. Garcia (Husband Juan). Grandfather of Mindy DeSalvo, Kenny DeSalvo and Sarah Fox. Step Grandfather of Brittany L. Thibodeaux and Chris F. Thibodeaux. Brother of Phillip DeSalvo, Irene Holbert, Sally Delatte and Floyd Dannelly. John is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 11:30AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
