John Adam Hepting

John Adam Hepting, III passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of 50 years to Elaine Leake Hepting. Loving father of Melinda Hepting Theriot (husband Todd) and the late John Adam Hepting, IV. Son of the late John Adam Hepting, Jr. and Irma Portune Hepting. Caring Grandfather of Jessica Theriot, Heather Theriot Ross (husband Josh) and Gregory Theriot. Great-grandfather of Nathan Ross, Ella Theriot, Kaitlyn Ross and Braelynn Ross. Brother of Catherine Hepting Strickland. He was retired after 42 years from Avondale/Northrop Grumman Shipyard. He also spent 3 years with the Navy onboard the USS Howard W. Gilmore AS16 and was the chaplain for the Gilmore Association. Johnny was a caring and understanding husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed by his many friends and relatives. As a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, donations made to the organization would be greatly appreciated. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 6PM t0 10PM and again on Tuesday from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. A Funeral Mass to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10AM.
