John Bertrand Hinyup, Sr.

John Bertrand Hinyup, Sr. a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Mildred Couvillion Hinyup by second marriage and cherished husband of the late Rosalie Boudreaux Hinyup. Beloved father of the late John B. Hinyup, Jr. and Rosalie Hinyup Gross (Husband the late Clair). Cherished Grandfather of Carol Ann Hinyup McClure (Husband Kenny) and Lori Ann Gross Rossetti. Beloved father by marriage of Carol Patai (Husband Thom), Jane Loup (Husband Bill), Peggy Adams (Husband Sonny), Ed Couvillion (Wife Susan). PaPa of 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Elmera Olga Hinyup. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 64, VFW Post 3121, retired employee of Hunt Wesson Foods, Inc., a member of Terrytown and Oakdale Golden Age Club and AARP Gretna Chapter 3806. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11AM.
