John Charles Klumpp, Jr. on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Beloved husband of Claudette F. Klumpp. Loving father of Bernard J. Klumpp (Terry), Darryl P. Klumpp, Sr. (Dennice) and John C. “Chuckie” Klumpp, III (Charlene). Grandfather of Darryl Paul, Jr., Allan, Amy, Justin, Jessica and Great Grandfather of Kristiana Miller. Brother of the late Loretta K. Clement, Gerald Klumpp and Joseph G. Klumpp, Sr. Son of the late Loretta Duhe Klumpp and John C. Klumpp. Age 79 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Algiers, LA. Mr. Klumpp was a Navy Veteran who served on the Heavy Cruiser, Newport News and a retired Captain from the New Orleans Fire Department. He was Past President of the N.O. Veteran Firefighters Assoc., member of the International Association of Firefighters Local #632, three time Past Commander of American Legion Post 218, Algiers, LA and a member of the 40 & 8 Voyager 108.
Relatives and friends of the family including members of the above named organizations are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Wednesday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
