John Nicholas Kuchler, Jr.

John Nicholas Kuchler, Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the age of 80. Beloved and loving husband of Lois Durel Kuchler. Son of the late John Nicholas Kuchler, Sr. and Grace Kestler Kuchler. Brother-in-law of Marie Durel Gattuso and the late Bertel Nicholas Verdigets. Uncle of Roy J.D. Gattuso (Ioana), Maria A. Gattuso, Bert Verdigets, Paul Verdigets, Felix Verdigets, George Verdigets and the late Philip M. Gattuso, DDS (the late Valerie). John was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Gretna, LA. He served his country while enlisted in the United States National Guard. He was a graduate from Texas A&M and was also Vice President of D.H. Holmes, Inc. Department Stores. He was Past President of the Rotary Club of the Westbank, Westbank Rotary Foundation and Past Director of Timberlane Country Club. He also volunteered at the Fr. Francis Xavier Seelos Center. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Fr. Francis Xavier Seelos Center, 919 Josephine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 in memory of John. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 10:30AM until 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Lakelawn Mausoleum, New Orleans, LA.
