John Edward Leger, Jr.

John Edward Leger, Jr., age 37 passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, May 17, 2013. Loving and devoted father of Chloe Nicole Leger and Dallas James Leger. Close friend of their mother, Heidi Leger. Precious son of Gail and Vincent Biondolillo. Brother of Kevin Leger (Annie), Michelle Leger Conis (Hubie, his best friend), Christopher Leger (Casey), Jon-Mikel Barrios, Bryon Biondolillo, David Biondolillo (Shannon) and Alex Biondolillo. Godfather of Ethan Leger. Uncle of Hayden and Jade Conis, Kevin Jr., Ally, Ethan and Julian Leger, Abby, Emma, David Jr., Norman, Josie, Maliea, Dominic and Olivia Biondolillo. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. John graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1993 and served his country via the Air Force for 11 years, including 2 combat deployments in Saudi Arabia, where he met Heidi Leger, who gave him his precious Chloe and Dallas. He was a member of VFW Post No. 9462 in Absecon, NJ. John was born and raised in Louisiana but lived in many states because of the military and Hurricane Katrina. His Louisiana family was fortunate enough that he moved back home two years ago. We will be forever grateful for that time. He worked as a Radiology Technician throughout his career at various military bases and public hospitals, and most recently was employed by X-Press X-Ray, taking care of the elderly and handicapped. He enjoyed teaching military recruits the various methods of performing radiological testing and most recently talked about going back to school to become a Radiologist. John’s wish was also to have everyone dressed in Saint’s attire to bid him adieu, so therefore anyone wishing to honor this wish, please do so, as will his beloved family. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6PM until 10PM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
