John Paul Lott

John Paul Lott, born March 7, 1937 entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Sheila Perazzo Lott. Son of the late Martha Nobles Lott and Elzy Pearl Lott. Son-in-law of Beulah Perazzo and the late Johnny Brooklyn Perazzo. Father of Nessa Lott Barrois (Husband Jay), Denise Lott Robichaux (Husband Roy), Kerry Allen Lott and Randall Joseph Lott (Wife Amanda). Grandfather of Janise Holder, Jenna Barrois, Mason, Katelyn and Hayden Lott. Great Grandfather of Landon and Lawson Holder and Bryce Louivere. Brother of Pearl Lott Hines and the late Robert Lott, Billy Lott and E.A. Nobles. Paul was born in Pine, LA. He later came to Plaquemines Parish at the age of 16. He became a Deputy for the Sheriff’s Office on July 15, 1969 and semi-retired on July 1, 2006. After Hurricane Katrina, Paul relocated to Breaux Bridge, LA and continued to work part-time until he could not work any longer. He loved to fish and did so every chance he had with his fishing buddies and family. Paul planted a winter and summer garden every year. He also enjoyed feeding and watching birds. Relatives and friends, also employees of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office and employees of PHI Inc. are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at the funeral home from 8AM until 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Good Harbor Mausoleum, Buras, LA.
