John Patrick Molaison, age 49 entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Beloved partner to David Boczenowski for 18 years. Son of Joan Simoneaux Molaison and the late Robert M. Molaison. Loving brother to Mark Molaison (Phil), David Molaison, and Susan M. Steinkamp (Dale). Survived by nieces Mindy Molaison (Trent), Emily and Erin Steinkamp, and nephews Joseph Vazquez (Lydia) and Jude Molaison. He will be sadly missed and always cherished by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. He was a graduate of Christ the King Elementary and DeLaSalle High School. He served in the United States Navy for 12 years and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He was employed as a fire control technical panel specialist for the past 18 years. He was born in New Orleans, LA on St. Patrick’s Day 1964. He resided in Gretna for the past 18 years. Family was the most important thing in his life. His passion and love of cooking was evident at all family gatherings. He will be missed for his wit and personality. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the staff of Ochsner Hospital and Notre Dame Hospice at Wynhoven for their support and wonderful care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation at the church from 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment will be private.
