John N. Sanchez

John N. Sanchez passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 75. Beloved father of Stacy Branson. Father-in-law of Mike Lajaunie. Son of the late Wilbert Joseph “Blackie” Sanchez and Marguerite Louise Sanchez. Brother of Elaine S. White, Jane Southgate (Stephen) and the late Monique Davis (Tom). Grandfather of Madisyn Stewart (Toby), Brailee Branson, Chloe Branson and Blade Lajaunie. Great grandfather of Jacob H. Moore. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He retired as Vice President of Acme Truck Line after 30 years of service and was Past President of the Harvey Canal Industrial Association. He was a member of Bayou-Fellowship No. 484 F&AM and of Saints John No. 153 F&AM. He was a best friend to everyone, enjoyed cooking and spending time with his friends and family. He was a native of River Ridge and a resident of Gretna and Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1pm.
