John "Jack" Weigel

John “Jack” Weigel, Owner of Weigel Real Estate in Gretna for over 50 years peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Sandi Weigel for 34 years. Son of the late Elmer Weigel and Floy Barbay Weigel. Loving father of Jackie Miller (Jeff), Jan Frentzos (Chris), Michele Burmaster, Tara Pellegrin (Bob) and the late Jinger Weigel. Loving Grandfather of Lindsay, Chase, Melissa, Christian, Chandler, Nic, Dominic, Brandon “Mr. B” and Vincent “Vinny”. Brother of David Weigel and the late Beverly Schieman. Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was former Captain and a 25-year member of the David Crockett Fire Department in Gretna and a member of the Greater New Orleans Corvette Club. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Lafitte for the past 30 years. Visitation and Funeral Services were held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 12 Noon.
