Jonathan Baird Sunseri

June 4, 1981 — June 27, 2011

Jonathan Baird Sunseri passed away on June 27, 2011 at the age of 30. Beloved and cherished son of Betty Ann Baird Sunseri and Joseph B. “Jay” Sunseri, Jr. Beloved brother of much loved younger sister Jennifer B. Sunseri of Destin, FL. Grandson of Betty K. and William R. Baird, Sr., Joseph B. Sunseri, Sr. and the late Mercedes Ridge Sunseri. He leaves behind his special Aunt Kathy and Uncle Danny Mullen, Uncle Bill and Aunt Karen Baird, Aunt Pam and Uncle Butch Ward, Uncle Carlton and Aunt Joan Sunseri. Cousin and best friend to Dirk K. Mullen, and Carrie, Anne, Will, Daniel, Jerard, Elizabeth, Jason, Justin, and Christopher who will miss him dearly. Jonathan also had many “fake” aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends who made his short life so fulfilling. Jonathan was a lifetime resident of Gretna, LA but spent his weekends and holidays in Pass Christian Isles, MS. He loved to fish, hunt, and boat there. Jonathan was a graduate of Brother Martin High School and William Carey College. He also attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology-Okmulgee. He was serving an internship at Jefferson Orthopedics for Orthotics and Prosthetics. Jonathan never knew a stranger, he lived life on the edge, and had an accident in which there was no way to recover from. He will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts. He brought a smile to everyone he met. Jonathan will live on in the many lives he helped to save by being an organ donor. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Verrett St., Algiers, LA on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 10 AM until Funeral Mass time at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
