Jose Juan Gonzalez, Sr.

Jose Juan Gonzalez Sr. passed away peacefully on September 18, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Estopinol Gonzalez. Father of Donald Gonzalez (wife Deanna), Debbie Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez Jr. (wife Julie), Manuel Gonzalez (wife Kristina), Mary Gonzalez, Dorothy Gaudet (husband Louis), William Gonzalez, Miguel Gonzalez (wife Melissa) and Maria Compton (husband Billy). Son of the late Maria Cruz and Alejandro Domingo Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and is survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico and lived much of his life on the Westbank, most recently in Avondale. He retired from J. Ray McDermott as an offshore cook and enjoyed spending his time with his loving family. He will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.
