Jose Ramon Lopez

Mr. Jose Ramon Lopez, known by all as Ramon, was 80 years old and was a resident of Harvey. Ramon passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 7th, 2015.
Ramon was born in Puerto Rico in 1935. He first moved to Chicago over 6 decades ago, finally settling in the New Orleans area. A chef for most of his life, Ramon was loved by all that had the pleasure of working with him. Outside of work, he was an avid gardener that could turn any space into a beautiful Garden of Eden.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Blanca, children Nancy Lopez, Nilson Lopez, Alex Lopez, April Perret, and Josie Lopez, their spouses and children, his loving grandchildren, his step-children Karlen Interiano and Victor Interiano and his spouse and children, his brothers and sisters, Luz, Bienvenidos, Maria, Luis, Theresa, Augustine and Juanita and their spouses and children.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Lopez and Aurora Rodriguez, and his brother Alberto.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 5PM at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058. Visitation will be from 3PM until 5PM.
