Joseph P. Cascio

Joseph P. Cascio entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 63 years to Eloise J. Cascio. Son of the late Angelo Cascio, Sr. and Frances DiMarco Cascio. Father of Cynthia Cascio Burmaster (Dennis), Jo Ann Cascio Bascle (Albert), Andrea Cascio Lozano (Rocky) and Karey Cascio. Grandfather of Tia Burmaster, Dennis Burmaster, Jr., Alicia Lozano Autin, Joshua Bascle, Shawna Burmaster, Jenna Bascle Plaisance, and Marisa Lozano. Great Grandfather of Mary Cate Klein, Riley Autin, London Creppel, Kale Plaisance, Raelyn Bascle, Avery Thibodeaux and Zoey Cheatwood. Brother of Roy Cascio, Marie Cascio Arbrough and the late Mamie Cascio Isla, Louise Cascio Cheramie, Lucille Cascio Palermo, Dominick Cascio and Angelo Cascio, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a 30 year employee of Chevron Chemical Company. He was a life member of David Crocket Fire Company and a member of the Italian American Society. He served in the United States Army from 1948-1953 as a Military Police. Longtime resident of the Westbank. After retirement, he became a resident of Tylertown , Mississippi . He was an honest and hardworking man who sacrificed to provide for his family. He loved the outdoors and loved spending time with his family which were the most important things in his life. He was a kind, generous man and a very loving father. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey , LA on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna , LA. Information: 504-366-4343.
