Joseph "Pete" Philip Denicola

Joseph "Pete" Philip DeNicola peacefully passed away on May 10, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on September 4, 1941 in New Orleans, La. and was a lifelong resident of Marrero, La. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debra Lowery DeNicola, his daughter, Roxanne DeNicola Tillotson, her husband, Larry Tillotson Jr., and his son, Craig Joseph DeNicola. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon Tillotson and his wife, Amanda Tillotson, Jordan Tillotson and Peyton Tillotson, his great-grandchildren Landon and Kayden Tillotson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Seraphine Pascal DeNicola Hackley, his father, Philip Joseph DeNicola Sr., his step-father, Joseph Hackley, his brothers, Philip DeNicola Jr. and Carl DeNicola. He was the son-in-law of the late Archie J. Lowery Sr.and Catherine Cortez Lowery, and the brother-in-law of Archie Lowery Jr. and his wife, Cheryl "Dolly" Lowery, Tammy Lowery Cascio and her husband, Patrick Cascio and the late Cathy Lowery. He will be especially missed by his special girl, Cache'. He was also favorite relative to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles.and will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor by all. Joseph graduated from West Jefferson High School and went directly to work at Avondale Shipyards (now Northrup Grumman) and retired after 40 years. He enjoyed his passion for cars by buying, selling, restoring and going cruizin' to car shows. Relatives and friends, members of Marrero Lodge #479 F & AM and fellow brothers, employees of Northrup Grumman and Woldenburg Village are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., (at Westwood Drive) in Marrero, La. on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. Service will be immediately after in the Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
