Joseph Jude Dewey

Joseph Jude Dewey passed away on April 2, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Joycelyn Hackler Dewey of Gretna, LA. Father of Joseph T. Dewey and JoEllen R. Dewey of Belle Chasse, LA. Brother of Alida “Lee” Bourgeois and the late Barbara Green. Son of the late Paul and Alida Loland Dewey of Harvey, LA.
Joseph was born in Gretna, LA, was raised in Harvey, LA and resided in Belle Chasse, LA for 53 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked as a welder for Brown & Root for over 30 years. In his retirement, he spent much of his time fishing and tending to his garden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
