Joseph L. Germany, retired Senior Vice President of West Jefferson Medical Center entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the age of 66. Beloved and loving husband of 44 years to Janet J. Germany. Son of the late N.L. Germany and Cynthia Gryder Germany. Father of Laura C. Germany. Brother of Ned Germany (Wife Sandy) of Humble, Texas. Brother-in-law of Margot Parsons (Husband David) of Austin, Texas. Uncle of Cindi Broussard (Husband Hal), Susan Barnette (Husband Ralph), Dr. Karen Curry (Husband Dr. Tommy Curry) and Ned Germany III. Joseph was born in Shreveport and was a resident of Marrero, LA for 24 years. He graduated from Northwestern State University with a BS Degree and later received his MBA at LSU. He is a lifelong member of the Louisiana Hospital Association. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Gretna United Methodist Church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the Doctors and the entire Staff of West Jefferson Medical Center for their love and care given to Joseph.
