Joseph Paul LaCava III

Joseph Paul LaCava III entered peacefully into heaven on December 17, 2023 at the age of 80 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Rita Ladmirault LaCava of 44 years. A loving father of Joseph LaCava IV (Jennifer), Steven LaCava (Sheri), Angela Kemp, and Lauren Touro (Andrew Jr.). Brother-in-law of Rosanna Doucet. Proud grandfather of Lacie Barousse (Adam) Scott, Joseph V, Jordan, Jacye, and Andrew III. Great grandfather of Talen and Blair. Son of the late Joseph Paul LaCava Jr. and Catherine DeCorte LaCava. Preceded in death by his son-in-law Sherwood Kemp. Brother of Catherine, Diane, Deborah, Michael, Brenda, and the late Jack. Also survived by his loving fiance of 7 years Karen Mabile and her daughter Sandy Spires (Steven) and a host of nephews and nieces.

Joe was a former auto mechanic and owner of LaCava's Flooring and LaCava's Sports Bar. He also coached at Pard Playground for 25 years. He enjoyed dancing to Swamp Pop music, fishing, and traveling but mostly spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed life with Karen and making her the happiest person to be by his side. He was an avid member of Combel's Custom Cruisers. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care given to Mr. Joe.

Joe touched many lives and made lasting friendships over the years of his life. He was a true, kind, and passionate gentleman.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend theMemorial Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:30 PM. Memorial Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 1:30 PM.
