Joseph "Cocomo" Schieffler

Joseph “Cocomo” Schieffler, Jr. passed away on June 24, 2011 at the age of 62 years. Former husband and friend of Cyndi Larose Schieffler. Father of Stacie Schieffler Celino, her husband Jason and Michael E. Carter. Grandfather of Jaycie Rose and Brody Joseph. Son of Sylvia Navero Schieffler and the late Joseph Schieffler, Sr. Also survived by his sister, Patricia Rivette, his little brother, Dennis Schieffler, his wife Stephanie as well as nieces and nephews. He was a resident of Harvey, LA and was an avid sports fan, fisherman and bowled with the former Expressway Lanes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Canberra during the Vietnam War. Relatives, friends and members of the St. Martha and Infant Jesus Church communities are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2555 Apollo Drive, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna. Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday from 6 PM to 10 PM and Wednesday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
